Patriotism of the Heart:
an apolitical reboot
of American democracy
this unique, new take on old American politics
examines voting outside partisanship ...
esp helpful for the undecided or uninspired

When one is lost, it is useful to retrace one’s footsteps – it’s helpful as well when a nation has lost its way … for this country moving into a profoundly pivotal election, the traditional grade school Mayflower story, with all its faults, nevertheless holds a couple kernels of significant history - to the New World she brought two groups of immigrants  (the Strangers not withstanding).
As we all know one group was the Pilgrims looking for freedom to worship the God-
context1
as they saw fit – their hurdle was to realize that the reality of the God-context is everywhere.

1God-context  is a term not necessarily deity-driven; it is used in this piece to generically reference the idea of                     a Supreme Being (Cosmic Consciousness, Universal Presence, Quantum Physician, etc.) in whatever context                             resonates with the reader; the point being to intentionally disentangle the God-context from denomination or                       dogma, that the concept might be truly and universally understood.

The other group to disembark the Mayflower was comprised of businessmen who,
as reputable men of their time, ascribed to morals generally informed by some version of their own understanding of the God-context.  They brought a passionate money-making vision,
so necessary an evil to keep the wheels of life turning for all – the businessmen’s hurdle:
that money itself is the bankers’ kryptonite against which
unwavering morality is the only shield.

Simplistically speaking, over time these two main groups, basically morphed into America’s 2-party system, the pilgrims became the democrats, the businessmen became the republicans, and for more than a couple centuries these two fundamentally opposing groups worked remarkably well together.  The country prospered, and its national sense of humanity over self had earned America global respect as a beacon for democracy – this is because each party within the American system recognized that the only way to secure survival was by mutual agreement:
that country over party united and strengthened them -
as two wings of the same bird, they didn’t fight each other

So what’s happened?
From its melting pot history, America failed to glean its utmost important lesson, that the universality of the God-context brought a balance between the political parties, a balance sourced by each individual from a moral scale of mutual respect  – before the last half century, the elected knew that the great American experiment wasn’t just about democracy,  that ultimately democracy itself was an exercise in creating a compassionate humanity –

American spirituality began its steadfast erosion over half a century ago, when
the God-context first came under attack as ‘politically incorrect’
(a Marxist-Lenin term, btw)
Before then, the quiet presence of the God-context lived naturally in America’s commonplaces.

Many believed this God-context freedom sought after by the Pilgrims
seeded the new nation with its respectful sense of Spirit-driven brotherhood,
which was passed down through generations until ‘political correctness’ became a thing -

Today the God-context has been all but silenced, relegated to America’s shadows, while
‘political correctness’ effectively destroys America’s unifying, communal brotherhood,
compartmentalizing it into denominational segregation and disjointed disconnection –
in turn this loss of citizenry cohesion has led to America’s present spiritual void that is birthing
a dangerous new American society, driven by a fractured, hateful, binary mindset of us vs. them, which is reigned over by the proverbial golden calf -
curiously, this mindset serves not the common man, only the money makers
but most alarming in all of this is how, in just 5 decades of spiritual erosion,
money’s kryptonite has poisoned banker morality --

That’s why, today’s political chaos … everything is connected -
the weight of ‘political correctness’ has summarily damaged the nation’s spiritual linchpin
(to pre-empt the separation of church and state counter:
the God-context is mentioned non-denominationally 4 times in the Declaration of Independence -
the concept is that important to this spiritual experiment we’re all participating in)

There’s one more thing to consider about politics:

political science studies demonstrate that seeking truth in political choices is a myth,
and the process itself of choice (i.e.: voting)  is, like most things in life, mostly driven by emotions,
which tend to entirely disregard intellectual input altogether.
Wait, what?

Yep, it’s true. Regardless of politics or propaganda, what a person believes blindly is what his/her emotions choose to blindly believe - the operative word here is ‘choose’ – the Navajo say, “you cannot wake a person who pretends to be sleeping.” This is cult mentality, as in, MAGA and kool-aid

Psychology demonstrates that a person's political viewpoints are typically and heavily influenced, neither by education nor by political savvy, but rather by developmental exposure to parental political opinion, input, emotional manipulation,
either for/against a particular view - in other words, because the illusion of political choice is introduced from early childhood, parent/child dynamics impact voting way more than do intellect, reasoning, and/or social consciousness –

Because 24/7 news steeps people’s lives in toxic political madness, it’s understandable that feelings of helplessness and inconsequence would support disengagement from the entire process - after all, that’s what you do with toxic people, right? why not also disengage from toxic situations?

A fair question … except, for this election, it’s very dangerous thinking -
if this istest2 of the Great American Experiment, then given what’s at stake this time,
even if it’s just to vote for the lesser evil, not voting at all is to vote for tyranny

Thankfully, there IS a way to vote in every election that doesn’t require party affiliation
but nevertheless  guarantees support of the Great American Experiment –

It’s apolitical voting, and here’s how you do that:

Go back to the very beginning of this nation’s first European contact,
to a much simpler time of dreams and revolutions,
before pilgrims became democrats and businessmen became republicans,
long before the Capital was ever stormed or Watergate breached,
even before the Constitution itself was ever written -
and ask yourself this:

If, in 1620 you had boarded the Mayflower
alongside penniless pilgrims and wealthy businessmen,
and if you were then of the same social status as you are today,
with whom would you be sitting?

...and boom! problem solved! how any of us should vote in any election …
apolitical voting bypasses politics and parties to provide the People with the most direct way
to save, to serve, and to protect the soul of the nation --
it really is up to us, the People – all of us - and right now it’s all hands on deck

---------------------------------------------------------------

note for the skywatchers and the curious -  here’s an interesting celestial event, if only for the timing   -  America’s natal chart dated 4 july 1776 shows that the nation is experiencing its first Pluto return, a rare event in which Pluto returns to where it was when life began for the native.  It takes Pluto 240 years to make a return, so it’s a big deal to both astronomers and astrologers alike – to the astronomer, it’s all about the movement – to the astrologer it’s all about the energy released by that movement -

mythologically Pluto, being god of the underworld,  rules intense transformation,
demanding either rebirth or death, ruin or revival – adding weight is that this Pluto return takes place in the nation’s second house of possessions and resources (that’s money, folks) … it's as if this election's
not-just-business-as-usual significance is written even in the skymap -
anyone with eyes and ears  (
Jer. 5:21 KJV) would wisely be asking::
will American democracy be reborn? or will it die?
